The Long Island Home Trustee Receives Leading Age NY Trustee of the Year Award

AMITYVILLE, NY – Ellen Ricciuti, vice chairperson of The Long Island Home board of trustees, recently received the Leading Age NY Trustee of the Year Award.

“When Ellen joined our board, she accepted the position of vice chairperson and immediately rolled up her sleeves and got to work on helping our organization prosper,” said Gerard Kaiser, executive director of SNF Services at the North Shore-LIJ Health System, in his letter nominating Ms. Ricciuti for the award. Ellen’s influence can also be seen in our implementation of a fully integrated electronic medical record, our ability to utilize capital funding to improve and beautify the facility and the expansion of our orthopedic rehabilitation program to meet the needs of our area surgeons and hospitals.”

Ms. Ricciuti joined The Long Island Home board in 2005. She worked with the board to
have The Long Island Home join the North Shore-LIJ Health System in 2012.
